Tips to revise for your CBSE Maths & Science exam...

Even well-prepared student experience some kind of anxiety in revising subjects like Maths and Science in Class 10th. Failing to revise can be harmful to students as the human mind has the limited capacity to hold information. To make revision more effective in these subjects, students should follow certain strategies like the ones mentioned below:
  1. Have an idea of the latest pattern
It is advisable to have a preemptive idea of the question paper while revision as it would give you an idea of the important and weighty topics. This will also help you to prepare a more effective strategy in solving the question paper and prioritize them.
  1. Skim through previous years’ question papers
Skimming through previous years’ question paper is especially advantageous for Science and Maths as it helps the student to have an idea of the different types of questions that will come in the board examination. It provides the student with a kind of code and what kind of question will come. Also, the papers provide the students with different variety of questions than a normal revision.
  1. Go through the important formulas and notes
Do not forget to revise all the formulas before the Maths exam as it can be disastrous for you in the final board examination. In the case of science, go through all the notes and do check out important concepts of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Look into the various biology diagrams and labeling.
  1. Revise from NCERT
NCERT books are the most pivotal to a student scoring good in class 10th examinations. Go through the NCERT material extensively as most of the question paper comes from it. Students tend to ignore NCERT while revising which proves to be bad for them. Exercise questions given in NCERT are a perfect way to evaluate your preparation and understanding of various concepts. Also, most often, the problems given in NCERT exemplar come in the board examination. This does not mean that a student should refrain from using any of the reference books available in the market. Rather, they should prioritize NCERT material over ant another reference book out there.
  1. Solve an ample number of question banks
Solving question banks can help build confidence in students and help them in framing answers more effectively. It also makes the student comfortable in answering board questions as they have already practiced them as they learn to understand complicated problems and make them simpler. Hence, solving more questions will be very beneficial for students and will help in scoring good marks.
  1. Practice important diagrams and graph
In Biology, practice all the important diagrams and memorize their labeling. Memorize the different reactions given in the chemistry book. For Maths, pickup either RS Aggarwal or RD Sharma and look at the different examples give in the book. This will help you in analyzing your preparation and would help you in revision too. Do the same with science but use some reference book with solved questions to have a better idea of your preparation.
