2019 CBSE Class 12 Math question paper analysis

The 2019 CBSE Class 12 Math examination was conducted on 15th March 2019 between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm with 15 minutes extra allotted for reading time. About 5.5 Lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations.
Math or Mathematics is considered as one of the most difficult subjects and is a lot more important than other science subjects. Math can give a good base to the students preparing for IIT-JEE and other competitive exams. Secondary level Math also proves helpful in the study in the course of engineering, architecture etc. Students feedback for the paper was a lot more positive than expected, children said that the paper was really easy and they expected to score well in CBSE Match Board Exam 2019. Most of them were even expecting around 80 marks (out of 100).
Breakdown of the format of the question paper:
The paper was divided into 4 sections, that being Section A, B, C and D. All of the sections combined had 29 questions and the maximum marks totaled to 100.
The marks carried by each section are:
Section A- Questions 1-4, Carried 1 mark each.
Section B- Questions 5-12, Carried 2 marks each
Section C- Questions 13-23, Carried 4 marks each.
Section D- Questions 24-29, Carried 6 marks each
Highlights:
Majority of the students found the paper to be extremely easy. Compared to last year’s paper, the paper was easier and scoring. The most surprising part was that all of the questions were from the NCERT Math book which made it easier for the students who had solved the book. Also, students found out a lot of similarities between the final paper and the sample paper which was issued by CBSE. Almost none of the students expected failure and most of them anticipated excellent marks.
